Lets focus on how you get more customers and keep them.
1. Measure everything.
If you don't know how effective your marketing is, how do you know what is working?
Use web stats, log phone calls - ask people how they found you,
use specific web addresses / emails / phone numbers for individual campaigns.
2. Try out different marketing ideas.
Divide up your database into four and try a different idea out on each section.
Measure the results to find out which one brings in the best results, then apply it to the others. At the same time try a different one on the first group and so on. You will soon have a selection of proven methods in the bank that can be rolled out on an ongoing basis.
3. Customers not only feed you now, they are also your future.
Do everything you can to keep them, over-delivery is the name of the game … you want them to be your salesmen and find you more custom from people just like them.
4. Don't expect your customers to pay for your inefficiencies - they will notice.
5. Make yourselves easy to do business with…
Refine your systems so that it is easy for people to buy from you and make it enjoyable.
6. Be fanatical about recording your customer details…
they are your business - your future and the companies worth.
7. Take ownership of your customers' requests…
they should never have to ask twice for something and make sure it's delivered properly.
8. Look for every opportunity to talk more to customers.
Sales come out of good relationships.
9. Ask for the business!
Display gratitude and prove you can deliver.
10. Build Trust.
Always do what you say you are going to do.
