| When David Brown, Hexagon UK General Manager, spoke to ashine, he identified a big problem for the UK arm of this Swedish-owned metrology company. Its UK competitors and agents were getting enquiries more easily from the web simply because they were easier to find on Google and the like. But there was clearly more to it than that.
We could see that the issue for Hexagon UK, as for many organisations with a global site covering local countries, is a generic corporate approach that prevents them making direct, personal contact with their target audience.
In developing his brief to ashine, David Brown was thinking big. Last, but not least, it was important that the audience saw, recognised and understood new offerings from Hexagon UK that it did not know existed.
Thinking about the brief, ashine suggested to Hexagon UK that the solution would be to gear the site to sales and install persuasive architecture to assist search engines and hence make the site easier to find and use.
